Strong Management Team and Sales Force with Extensive Industry Experience
The Company is led by a proven management team with extensive experience in media and publishing, and is especially familiar with the New York market. Kathy Hipple, CEO, was one of Ambassador's founders in 1999. Following a Wall Street career, where she served as Vice President of International Institutional Sales at Merrill Lynch for 8 years, Ms. Hipple joined Ambassador in early 2000. Her background in journalism and finance guided her early efforts to raise outside capital to fund Ambassador's growth, and to produce and edit the unique editorial features throughout each of the directories. Ms. Hipple also organized and streamlined every department, leading Ambassador to the forefront of the independent yellow page publishing industry. She is currently serving on the board of directors of the Yellow Pages Association. Andy Fenster, CFO, joined Ambassador in its earliest days, and has guided the Company's financial growth and provided strategic vision for its annual double-digit growth, as Ambassador has expanded throughout the metro area. His experience includes serving as Vice President and Controller of Big Flower Holdings, a $2.5 billion advertising and marketing services company, headquartered in New York. Mr. Fenster also spent 12 years at The New York Times Company in various executive financial positions, including Corporate Executive Director and Assistant Controller. He was formerly a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche. Rick Oller, CIO, joined Ambassador in May of 2007. Mr. Oller has been an IT Professional for 20 years, with extensive experience in application development, deployment, and support for a number of industries: Financial Services, Health Care, Legal, Education, and Advertising. Prior to his current position he was a Development Manager for Fidelity National Information Services, a Fortune 500 company specializing in software and outsourcing. Sergio Alvarez, Vice President, Search Marketing, joined Ambassador in 2003, after leading the top-ranked sales team in the nation for Verizon's SuperPages for four consecutive years. Mr. Alvarez was instrumental in training and developing the roll out of the Superpages.com strategy. Upon joining Ambassador, Mr. Alvarez has led a successful effort to merge the Internet and print products into one advertising solution for top New York City clients. In 2005 he led Yahoo Yellow Pages in online revenue growth. Vincent Lombardo, Vice President, Print, joined Ambassador in 2003. He brings to Ambassador 25 years of sales management experience in the world-wide arena. His areas of expertise include an array of products from U.S. Treasury securities to office supplies. His most recent engagement was Director of Sales at U.S. Office Products, the largest office supply chain company in the world. Prior to that, Mr. Lombardo served as National Director of Sales at Dunbar Corp. Sandy Pitofsky, Senior Vice President, joined Ambassador in April 2001. Mr. Pitofsky has helped launch record-breaking directories in Queens, Brooklyn, and The Bronx and has added hundreds of clients to Ambassador's base of successful advertisers. His contribution to Ambassador's Manhattan directory has set a Company-wide standard of excellence. Prior to joining Ambassador, Mr. Pitofsky was R.H. Donnelley's top-ranked sales account executive for 13 consecutive years, breaking numerous national sales records-many of which still stand today. Charles Lupardo, Senior Vice President, joined Ambassador in 2000 and has played a key role in the launch of virtually every new directory. Mr. Lupardo is currently one of the company's top sales representatives and has exceeded sales goals in all of Ambassador's Yellow Pages directories. Mike Ostrom, Vice President Business Development, has been working with Ambassador since 2003, first providing call tracking lines. He then came on board to expand the Local Search platform. Mr. Ostrom is a leader in the industry and has served on numerous committees for ADP, ADM and YPA. He was the top sales person at The Heritage Organization and led a national team that broke all company records. In the early years of his media career, Mr. Ostrom spent six years on television as a sports director for a CBS affiliate in the Northwest and has done some work for ESPN. Bob Hamerslough, National Sales Director, comes to Ambassador with a wealth of publishing and major national advertising sales experience. Mr. Hamerslough began his publishing career as the founder of Empire Sports, a magazine that celebrated recreational and spectator sports in upstate New York. He first worked in New York City as a consultant in Time Inc's magazine development division, where we helped analyze the viability of start-up projects. He has worked as both a senior sales person and sales manager for such major national publications as Time, Sport, First for Women and Adweek. He brings to Ambassador a solid understanding of publishing and the ability to navigate through the national sales channel. Ray Cyrgalis, President, spent 17 years with the New York Daily News before he joined Yellow Book USA as publisher. In 1989 he founded the Manhattan Directories. These independent neighborhood directories provided an advertising platform for many of Manhattan's premiere service industries, and ultimately provided the advertising base for Ambassador's initial directory. As one of the founding partners, Mr. Cyrgalis has been instrumental in attracting sales talent to the Company as well as key account relationships to the advertising base. Brad Steitz, Founder, was the visionary and financial founder of Ambassador in 1999. He also founded Champion Locksmith in 1981, which is headquartered in New York City. He continues to run Champion, which has become one of America's largest locksmith and security companies, chiefly by advertising in the yellow pages. Through his 20 years experience running a premier service business in New York and becoming one of the largest yellow pages advertisers in the nation, Mr. Steitz was uniquely qualified to launch one of the first independent directories in the metro area. His understanding of the New York marketplace contributed significantly to the Company's rapid growth and consumer adoption. |
